Blood on the Crack - 10 min - Climbing
Climbers Kevin Jorgeson and Jacob Cook head to the Bugaboos to attempt the second ascent of the Tom Egan Memorial Route, which contains one of the hardest crack climbs in the world: an unbelievably aesthetic, perfectly splitter, and excruciatingly painful fingertip crack called Blood on the Crack. How to Run 100 Miles - 28 min - Trail Running
What does it take to finish a 103-mile ultramarathon? How to Run 100 Miles follows Jayson’s story from overlooked kid to ultrarunner battling his way up Colorado mountain trails. Big World - 13 min - Paddle Board / Parenting As parents, how do we teach our kids that there is a world beyond social media, standardized tests and soccer practice? In April 2018, Eddie Bauer athlete David Morton and his seven-year-old son Thorne embarked on a week-long stand-up-paddleboard journey down the Karnali and Bheri Rivers in Western Nepal. "There’s a basic paradox to parenting,” says David. “You have to keep your kids safe, but you have to teach them to take risks and follow curiosity. Life is undeniably richer with a little bit of daring.” RJ Ripper - 20 min - MTB
Kids and bikes; wherever you are in the world, they go together. The chaotic streets of Kathmandu may not seem like a typical breeding ground for world-class mountain bikers, but then again nothing is typical about Rajesh (RJ) Magar. Trailer "RJ RIPPER" from Mendi Office on Vimeo. Ski Photographer - 9 min - Ski/Photography Drawn to the mountains in search of the ski bum lifestyle, Oskar Enander had no intention of ever becoming a photographer. Today, Oskar’s iconic and unique perspective is highly sought after in the ski world. And yet, he shoots very little outside of winter. This film goes behind the lens in Oskar’s hometown of Engelberg, Switzerland to explore a life in the mountains and the influences that shape a ski photographer. Liv Along the Way - 22 min - Alpine Climbing
Since she first summited Mont Blanc as a teen, Liv Sansoz knew she would make her life in the mountains. In 2017, at 40 years old, Liv set out from her base in Chamonix, France to attempt to climb all 82 4000m peaks in the European Alps in a single year. As she’s learned several times throughout her life, things don’t always go as planned. Chasing Monsters - 5 min - Stormchasing For the past 20 years, Australian photographer Nick Moir has been chasing weather systems throughout the world. Nick journeys through the famous Tornado alley that stretches through the American Midwest that produces catastrophic yet beautiful storms that earn the appropriate nickname, monsters on the plains. The Frenchy - 14 min - Bike / Ski
Jaques Houot, 82, may just have found the fountain of youth. He has survived some two dozen close calls, including avalanches, cancer, car accidents, a heart attack and even attempted murder. As a survivor, he explains, he tries to enjoy every day he has, ripping through his mountains with his signature catchphrase, “No problem!” “When you laugh, you add one extra hour on your life. I’m going to die very old, because I love to laugh,” he says. Perspectives: India - 5 min - MTB Everyone views the world differently. As an artist and professional mountain biker, Micayla Gatto finds inspiration in her surroundings, be it at home in British Columbia, Canada or somewhere as distant as India. The chaotic cities, the surreal mountains, the kind people; each provide a beautiful and unique experience. Dreamride 3 - 6 min - MTB
DreamRide 3 is the final chapter in a series that has taken audiences to some of the wildest environments on Earth. Combining a Dr.Suess inspired narrative, mind blowing natural landscapes, and one dreamer on a mountain bike, this film will take you on an adventure like no other. |
