Gran Fondo Highwood Pass (click for details)

Nothing compares to the remote majesty of the Canadian Rockies.  Located SW of Calgary,  travels 147km through the heart of the Rockies over the highest paved road pass in Canada. You’re going to have a truly epic experience, passing through huge mountain ranges and sharing the scenery with wildlife like elk, deer, moose, big horn sheep, and possibly even bear during this wheeled trek. Gran Fondo Highwood Pass offers a rewarding challenge for the weekend warrior, hardcore roadie or triathlete-in-training.  Riders of all abilities will appreciate the opportunity to ride at their own pace, enjoy first class support and enjoy the ride!


Blitz Duatholon (click for details)

The Annual Blitz Duathlon is held in beautiful Bragg Creek west of Calgary, AB. The course features an intermediate trail run, road bike on Hwy 66 (out and back), and ends with a shorter easier trail run. This race sells out every year and is open to individual athletes or teams of two (1 runner/1 cyclist). Fun and challenging for all ages and abilities.


Tour of Alberta (click for details)

The inaugural Tour of Alberta marks Canada’s first major international professional stage race, and the Province’s first foray into the growing global sport of cycling.

Adopted through the vision of Albertan Alex Stieda, the first North American to wear the yellow leader’s jersey at the Tour de France, the Tour of Alberta is scheduled throughout the province.

This world-class event, which is free to the public, will often pass through the Bragg Creek area.
