Chester Sawmill Nordic Trails

Chester Sawmill Nordic trails is located in one of the most photographed areas in Kananaskis for good reason. Mount Chester provides an amazing . You'll find over 75 km of groomed cross-country ski trails with the majority in the easy - intermediate range and a few difficult sections. Trail lengths vary from .6km to 10km one-way. The Pocaterra hut and Visitor Information Centre are both open for ski information and warm-up areas.

To Get Here:

  • From Canmore - Take Spray Trail south past the Nordic Centre for 61km to the Pocaterra hut entrance on your right
  • From the East - Take HWY 40 south for 50km. The road is closed past the Spray Trail intersection. Turn right on Spray Trail and continue for a little over 2km. Look for the Pocaterra Hut entrance on your left.
