Highwood Area Picnic Sites
HWY 532
Highway to the stars. From the foothills surrounding Chain Lakes, wind your way up a dirt road as it slowly narrows and climbs through a mountain pass into subalpine meadows. As you climb through the pass, take a moment to walk up on the small ridge on the south side of the road and enjoy a million dollar prairie foothill view! Although a four wheel drive isn't normally required, this road can be fairly rough.
