Kananaskis Lakes are the jewels of Kananaskis. With crystal clear water and a backdrop of alpine peaks, you'll have a hard time concentrating on eating your lunch. Wildlife is also abundant in the area and it's not uncommon to see deer, moose and even grizzly bears on the drive here. The drive alone is worth the trip!
To Get Here: From Trans Canada HWY 1, take Kananaskis HWY 40 south for 50km. Turn Right onto Kananaskis Lakes Trail. Follow Kananaskis Lakes Trail for 12. 5km. From here you'll find numerous picnic areas scattered around the scenic landscape.
