Prairie Mountain
One of the most popular hikes in the valley and for obvious reasons. A steep and steady grade quickly brings you from the lush valley bottom and deposits you on top of a beautiful alpine meadow. A panoramic view, full of flowers and spectacular sights of both the prairies to the east, and the mountains to the west, with Moose Mountain dominating the foreground.

As Prairie Creek veers west continue north along the ridge, at a steady strenuous pitch for almost 3 km. Nearing the summit, the steep grade lessens and the forest suddenly opens to reveal a grassy ridge with a full floral bouquet.
