Trail Description: (counter-clockwise) Merlin View is best accessed by taking Braggin' Rights 3.4 km from trailhead #3 to the Merlin View entrance. From the trailhead climb through linked flowing corners and up onto the open meadow. Ride through the fast paced meadow and past the Flinstones Lounge before entering the "Shwarzwald" (black forest). High flow lines take you through the tight forest past several viewpoints and across some really cool rock features. As you continue the quick descent, you'll come across the wash machine featuring a combination of double berms with options to bank, bump or bonk your way through the maze. After the downhill comes to an end, gear down and head back up a short climb to the trailhead.
One of the best MTB sampler trails in Alberta. A combination of short ascents, fast downhills, funky features, valley views, and a Flinstone's lounge at the top of a beautiful open meadow. This trail makes an excellent extension to the Braggin' Rights Loop and is just as enjoyable riding in either direction!
